coagulation and EKG (Electro Cardiogramelectrical tracing of the heart
performed to rule out cardiac events and arythmia.)
General Radiography ( X-Ray) and Fluoroscopy
General Radiology is available for routine and emergency services.
Fluoroscopy (live images) of body parts are particularly useful in
visualizing the esophagus and colon to determine if any obstruction or
malfunction.

Nuclear medicine is the use of very small amounts of radioactive
material to diagnose disease. Nuclear medicine can provide accurate
images that aid in the study of organs and tissues and how they work.
The scans are safe with about the same risk as a common X-ray. Only
tiny amounts of a short-lived radioactive material is used. It can help
detect a wide variety of conditions, such as cancer, heart disease,
arthritis and infection. Nuclear medicine services are provided
by a mobile scanning service.
Bone Densitometry
Bone Densitometry service helps in the diagnosis and treatment of
osteoporosis. This service is provided on a regular basis, with
in-house CT Scanner.
Needle Localization
Needle localization and needle placement are provided with ultrasound or mammography guidance at Cozad Hospital.
Our imaging department is staffed with registered radiology and medical
sonography staff to help our physicians make a timely and accurate
diagnosis.
Respiratory Care

hours a day, 7 days a week. Services include aerosol therapy, oxygen
therapy, cardiovascular testing sleep studies, pulmonary function
testing and pulmonary rehab. Diagnostic tests include:
- Holter Monitor A holter monitor is a small recording device worn
by the patient for 24-48 hours. The test assesses abnormal heart
rhythyms.
- PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) This 45 minute test is useful in
the diagnosis of various respiratory disease processes. Pulmonary
function tests include several different breathing maneuvers to asses
functions of the lung.
- Mobile Sleep Studies - The sleep study is a test to determine if patients have interrupted sleep patterns.
- Cardiac Stress Testing - Cardiac stress testing is a graded
exercise test with continuous monitoring of EKG and blood pressure
during exercise.
- Event Recorder This is a small monitor that is worn for a month. Helps to detect ectopic or arrhythmic activity.
- Blood Pressure Monitoring - A small recording device that records blood pressures for 24 hours.
