Angie Mannel Newly Elected Officer of The Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals

Angie Mannel, Cozad Community Hospital Certified Dietary Manager, was elected as the Secretary of the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) at the Nebraska Spring Meeting located in Kearney on March 28 through March 29 in conjunction with Cash-WA Distributing. Prior to being elected as Secretary, she served as the Education Chair for ANFP. 

Mannel has been the Certified Dietary Manager at the Cozad Community Hospital for two years. There are 232 Dietary Managers in Nebraska, and in order to keep credentials of Certified Dietary Manager they must complete 45 continuing education units (CEU) every three years. Attending and planning the ANFP meetings is a great way to fulfill the requirements.

ANFP is made up op of hospital and nursing home dietary managers. There are two ANFP meetings each year, a spring meeting and a fall meeting. The ANFP Nebraska Fall Meeting will be held at Sysco in Lincoln. Mannel will help plan and attend that meeting coming this fall.
