National Nurse Practitioner Week

Cassandra Munoz, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is from around Falls City, NE. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010; and her Master of Science in Nursing, with a 
specialization of Family Nurse Practitioner Program, in 2016 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Munoz has a diverse background. She worked as a RN at a few critical access hospitals in the areas of obstetrics including antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care. She’s also worked in the emergency room and medical surgical floor. Her experience includes working as a travel nurse on telemetry step down units. Munoz’s most recent Nurse Practitioner experience was working at a Level II trauma center as a General Surgery and Trauma Service Nurse Practitioner seeing patients in the emergency room, hospital, and clinic. She managed a variety of general surgery ailments including wound care.
“I have a tremendous passion for rural healthcare and serving under deserved populations,” Munoz said.
