Lab Week 2018 Spotlight : Shawna Kloepping

Shawna Kloepping has been a lab technologist for 2 years… and has been with Cozad Community Hospital for that time. She attended Mid Plains College and did her clinical rotation with us and then decided to join our team. She lives in Cozad with her husband Marcus, daughter Madison and son Jackson.
What inspired you to be a lab tech: “I worked in healthcare since ’99 and love to work around people. At the age of 35 I finally decided it was time for a change and went to college. I chose Medical Lab Tech because I was interested in the sciences involved in lab work.”
Favorite part of the job: “1st- My co-workers (lab) are awesome and the work environment is amazing. I also love a challenging stick 
”
Hobbies: “Hanging with my family. Occasionally I get a great book I can’t put down. I enjoy swimming and watching the Cubs. I’d like to say cooking, but I’ll leave that up to my husband... I like to eat his food though! I love music, it’s a stress reliever.”
