A Word From Our Employees

At Cozad Community Health Systems, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Their passion, dedication, and unique perspectives shape our culture and drive our success. Here’s what some of our team members have to say about their experiences working here.

"Kindness. This facility, as whole, is shining with kindness. Every morning when I walk down the hall, staff and patients alike always smile and say good morning to me. That walk back to Cardiac Rehab every morning is my daily "pick-me-up"."

"I really enjoy my job. I have been apart of CCHS for over a year now. I work in the Physical Therapy department. I enjoy getting to work with a wide variety of settings where I assist in treating patients of many ages along side an amazing team full of nurses and co-workers."

"I love my job, I have been with CCHS for 12 years and a nurse for 19. I work for Central Plains Home Health and Hospice. This job was a perfect fit for me after taking care of my own mom for 10 years and having her home up until her death. "

"I work as a Hospice Chaplain. I love my job! My favorite part of my work is to come along side of patients and their families and staff with pray with them or offer comfort by way of talking or reading. I just finished my second year. The great thing about my work is that it maximizes all areas of who I am - personality, spiritual gifting, natural talent, pastoral knowledge and experience. I feel like it is a miracle that I am here as a Hospice Chaplain. To see people helped and comforted for now and eternity brings great joy! I have been in pastoral work for 42 years but as a hospice chaplain for two and a half years. "

"I LOVE my job. Working within the health care system there is always something happening right around the corner. I work at the Hospital within the Prior Authorization Team. Usually when people hear I work in Prior Authorization, I quickly hear the response of "ewe yuck" or "I feel sorry for you". But truth be told I love working in Prior Authorizations as we usually are working behind the scenes fighting for our patients, ensuring they get the services they are needing. I think the most rewarding part of the job is seeing the "follow through", knowing a patient is able to continue to the next step on their health care journey. Were like your insurance warriors. Battling the big guys for our fellow community members."

"I’m a physical therapist at CCHS. I grew up here in Cozad and came back after finishing physical therapy school. I have been with CCHS for the past seven years, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. When I left for college, I was not sure I would return so soon, but the opportunity to come back and care for the Cozad community was one I could not pass up. What has kept me here is the supportive work environment, great coworkers, and our shared commitment to giving patients the best care possible. After physical therapy school, I set professional goals for myself, and CCHS has been instrumental in supporting my growth and helping me achieve many of them. Most recently, I pursued an opportunity to begin a fellowship program. Throughout this process, both the physical therapy team and leadership team at CCHS have been incredibly encouraging and supportive every step of the way. It is a place where your ideas are listened to, and you genuinely feel like part of the team. If you are seeking a workplace that fosters professional development, encourages meaningful contributions, and is built on a foundation of care and collaboration, CCHS is an excellent choice."

"I'm Suzanne, Director of Revenue Cycle at CCHS, where I've proudly worked for over seven years. Before I was hired, I applied and interviewed three times because I knew this was the organization I wanted to be a part of. Since joining, I've not only found a fulfilling career but have also been supported and encouraged to grow professionally. My role in Revenue Cycle is critical to ensuring the financial health of our organization, and I take great pride in the work we do. One of the things I value most about working at CCHS is the people. From our providers and nurses to the office staff, we have an incredible group of individuals who are all committed to doing what's best for our patients. CCHS holds a special place in my heart because it's more than just a workplace—it's a cornerstone of our community. We’re here to care for our friends and neighbors, and I’m truly honored to be part of that mission."

"I’m Juli Wetovick and I’m the Director of Surgical and Infusion Services. I’m a Registered Nurse and have been with the organization for over 2 and a half years. I chose CCHS because the location allowed me to stay close to home while still pursing my career. I love that I can work directly with patients and fellow staff while still advancing my leadership skills. Working here provides a place where I can contribute to improving the lives of patients right here in my community."

"I’ve worked at Meadowlark Pointe Assisted Living for over 13 years, serving as the Director, an LPN, and the Resident Care Coordinator. When I first applied here, I was new to town. I didn’t know many people, but I had a friend and some church members who worked here and encouraged me to apply. I’m so glad I did. What’s kept me here all these years is the heart of this place. Meadowlark Pointe isn’t just where I work, it’s where I’ve built lasting relationships. My coworkers and our residents have truly become like family. I come to work every day knowing I’m part of a team that cares deeply for one another and for the people we serve. If you’re looking for a job where you can make a difference, feel supported, and be part of something special, this is it. I feel supported by my leadership team and genuinely enjoy coming to work each day. Memories I will always carry with me are how unique each resident is—their likes, dislikes, and those little moments that make you laugh out loud. They say the darndest things sometimes! But what I love most is reminiscing with them, hearing about how they grew up, what life was like "back then," and how much the world has changed. Their stories remind me why this work matters. Caregivers make a profound difference every day. Whether they're professionals, family members, or friends, caregivers play a crucial role in the well-being of those they support."

"I’m a Pharmacy Technician at the Hospital, I’ve been in the pharmacy since February 2024 but have had the privilege of being a part of Cozad Community Health System for more than a decade as a Medication Aide at Meadowlark Pointe. I was attracted to this position because it offered a chance to deepen my understanding of the medical field, along with a schedule that aligned well with my personal and professional goals. The Health System gives me a chance to serve the community I live in and care about."
