ADDING ANOTHER BRICK AND CROSSING ANOTHER STEPPING STONE
Thursday, August 23, 2018
Construction at Meadowlark Pointe is making substantial progress. Drywall has been hung and painting has begun on the interior of the building. Bricks are being laid on the exterior of the building that will soon be a home. This new addition will have 12 assisted living beds and 14 memory care beds, ready to serve the needs of people in the Cozad community, county, state and beyond. The timeframe for completion is projected to be in December-January.
As the building is getting closer, Bri Snider, Meadowlark Pointe Administrator, and her employees are focusing on trainings and certifications. Snider started the role of Administrator beginning of January 2018. She attended the Assisted Living Administrator Training which covered topics from resident rights to nutrition and food code. This program is approved by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services for assisted living administrators.
Another certification Snider has received is Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP). She joins three others at Meadowlark Pointe who have their CDP: Cindy Schneider, Thea Cole and Amber Peden. This certification will provide the professional knowledge needed to care for the residents in the memory care units.
All these additions and extra steps Meadowlark Pointe is taking will be beneficial in providing a welcoming and secure home.
