Cozad Elementary School will be hosting a special community event in celebration of the Week of the Young Child. This event will take place on Monday, April 7, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cozad Elementary School. Sponsored by local organizations, including Cozad Community Health System, the event aims to highlight the importance of early childhood education and provide valuable resources to families with young children.​

The Week of the Young Child, observed this year from April 5-11, is an annual celebration initiated by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). It focuses on bringing public attention to the needs of young children and their families, as well as recognizing the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. ​

At the event, families will have the opportunity to learn about various local programs and services available to support children from birth to age five. The Cozad Medical Clinic will be on-site to provide resources on developmental milestones, well-child checks, vaccination schedules, general wellness recommendations, and more. This is an excellent opportunity for parents and caregivers to gain insights into their child's development and discover the support systems available within the community.​
