The Cozad Community Specialty Clinic is proud to welcome Dr. Jose Q. De Guzman, MD, FACS, a board-certified urologist, to our team of visiting specialists. Dr. Guzman brings decades of urology expertise and a strong reputation for patient-centered care to Cozad, expanding the clinic’s ability to provide expert specialty services right here in our community.

Dr. Guzman sees patients in Cozad every second Thursday of the month, traveling from his primary practice at Great Plains Health in North Platte. With his extensive background in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the urinary tract and male reproductive system, Dr. Guzman brings vital services to the community that previously required longer travel times for patients.

A native of the Philippines, Dr. Guzman earned his undergraduate degree from Letran College in Manila and received his medical degree from the prestigious University of Santo Tomas. He went on to complete both his general surgery and urology residency at Downstate Medical Center Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, where he served as Chief Resident in Urology.

Dr. Guzman is not only highly skilled, but he takes time to connect with patients, answer questions, and ensure they feel informed and comfortable throughout their care journey.

With the addition of Dr. Guzman, the Cozad Community Specialty Clinic now offers an even broader spectrum of visiting specialties, including care for bone and joint health, cardiovascular and kidney conditions, cancer treatment, respiratory care, podiatry, chronic pain management, general surgery, and now, urologic and men’s health services.
