Cozad Community Physical Therapy is thrilled to invite the community to lace up their running shoes, put on their best costumes, and join the fun at the first annual Halloween 1 Mile/5K Walk/Run on Saturday, October 18th. This spook-tacular event promises fun, fitness, and Halloween spirit for all ages.
Participants will gather at the Cozad Physical Therapy Building (303 E. 12th St.), with check-in beginning at 8:00 AM and the race kicking off at 9:00 AM. Whether you’re an avid runner, a casual walker, or simply love the excitement of dressing up, this event has something for everyone.
In true Halloween fashion, creativity is highly encouraged! Prizes will be awarded not only to the top three race finishers (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) but also to participants with the Best Individual Costume and Best Group Costume. From superheroes to spooky creatures, the racecourse will be filled with festive and imaginative costumes.
Registration is open now, with fees of $30 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under. All participants who sign up by September 30th will receive a commemorative event T-shirt to remember the day. Registration can be completed easily by scanning the QR code on the event flyer or calling 308.784.2231 for more information.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Cozad AfterZone Program, an initiative dedicated to providing safe, enriching, and fun after-school opportunities for local youth. By joining the Halloween Walk/Run, participants will not only enjoy a festive morning of exercise and camaraderie but also make a direct impact in supporting children and families in the Cozad area.
This event is a wonderful way to bring people together, celebrate community spirit, and enjoy the Halloween season in a healthy and active way. We can’t wait to see the costumes and the creativity everyone brings to the race!
So, grab your running buddy, gather your family, or round up your friends for a morning full of fitness, fun, and frightfully festive costumes. Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 18th and make sure you’re registered by September 30th to guarantee your T-shirt.
