Mark your calendars for the 2024 Annual Fall Ball, hosted by the Cozad Hospital Foundation, a formal community event that celebrates healthcare excellence and supports the growth and success of our local hospital. The event will take place on Saturday, October 19th at the Elk’s Lodge in Cozad, and promises to be an evening of fine dining, and fundraising for a great cause, featuring guest speaker Bill Bush.
This year, the Fall Ball will proudly induct two esteemed members into the Cozad Healthcare Hall of Fame: Bev Krushenisky and Cris Teetor. Both have made significant contributions to the healthcare community, demonstrating the CCHS mission of quality, patient-care for the people of Cozad and surrounding areas. Their induction will be honored during the evening’s program for their years of service and leadership in healthcare.
In addition to the Hall of Fame induction, the Fall Ball serves as a fundraiser for the Cozad Hospital Foundation. The funds raised during the event help the Foundation continue its critical work in supporting the hospital, which in turn benefits the entire community. Over the years, the Foundation has been instrumental in numerous projects and improvements that have shaped the healthcare landscape in Cozad.
The Cozad Hospital Foundation’s efforts have led to the recruitment of clinicians, ensuring that our community has access to top-quality medical care. Additionally, the Foundation has either fully funded or contributed to major projects, including the purchase of the Physical Therapy Building and Meadowlark Pointe, a premier assisted living and memory care facility. The Foundation also supported the development of the Medical Clinic and the Wellness Center, both of which provide essential services to our community. As the new softball complex develops, the Foundation will play a key role in supporting a walking track around it, ensuring that Cozad residents and visitors have access to spaces that promote health and wellness.
Furthermore, funds raised through the Foundation have enabled the purchase of much necessary medical equipment and facility upgrades that ensure the hospital remains at the cutting edge of medical care.
As healthcare continues to evolve, the Fall Ball remains an important event to ensure that Cozad Community Health System can maintain its mission of providing compassionate, patient-centered care. The funds raised from this event will allow the hospital to make ongoing investments in equipment, facilities, and staff education, all of which are crucial to the continued success of the healthcare system.
